 Presentation: Sustainable procurement in Ukraine: challenges and opportunities

Speaker: Natalya Lukyanova, HIV and Health Programme Specialist - UNDP Ukraine

Nataliya Lukyanova has worked for UNDP Ukraine as HIV and Health Focal Point since 2014. Currently, she provides her expertise to the Ministry of Health of Ukraine working groups on public procurement reform and intellectual property. She is HIV, Health and Development Focal point where she is in charge for the UNDP “Health and Transparency” program quality control and development, represents UNDP in different bilateral and multi-sectoral committees, and is the liaison on Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and sustainable health procurement initiatives and efforts. She has more than twenty years of experience in the fields of development and implementation of social and health policy, HIV prevention, health reform, and capacity building. She has management experience in the public sector in Ukraine, where she headed the State Social Services for Family, Youth, and Children where she was responsible for implementing the state policy on social and health well-being of the young population of Ukraine. Dr. Lukyanova holds a PhD in Political Science. The past 5 years she also has been working as Associate Professor at the School of Social Work of the National University of Kyiv-Mohila Academy.

 Presentation: Initiatives towards Sustainable Procurement in the Health Sector in Moldova 

Dorin is the Assistant Resident Representative at UNDP Moldova. With a medical background and a master degree in Management. Before his last assignment for the last 7 years, he has coordinated several projects in healthcare implemented together with UNDP, Japan International Cooperation Agency and other international development partners. Dorin has also been involved as a supply chain consultant in various international projects throughout Africa and Asia. He believes that the success of sustainable procurement in healthcare is based on a robust partnership between the private sector, civil society, and government where cross-sectoral approaches and innovations have a benefic impact both for healthcare and the environment.
