Presentation: More sustainable solutions to surface cleaning in hospitals: The case of cytostatic drug contamination
Speaker: Dr. Paul Scheepers, Associate Professor - Radboud University Medical Center
Paul T.J. Scheepers is interested in the health risk of exogenous substances. This is achieved by analysis of biomarkers of exposure, susceptibility and effect. With his team he develops new biomarkers and new applications of biomonitoring in public health research. He obtained his MSC environmental sciences with honors at Wageningen University. In 1994 he obtained a PhD study of diesel exhaust toxicity at the Radboud University. In 1994 he was appointed Assistant Professor in Toxicology. He coordinated two EU projects on biomonitoring of carcinogenic substances. In 2002 he started the workgroup Risk Evaluation and Molecular Epidemiology at the Radboud Institute for Health Sciences and founded the Research Lab Molecular Epidemiology. He obtained an associate professorship in 2007 and became principal lecturer in 2009. He has been a European Registered Toxicologist since 1997, a certified Occupational Hygienist (RAH) since 2001 and Public Health Advisor HazMat (GAGS) since 2007.
