Dr. Jonathan Slutzman, Instructor in Emergency Medicine - Massachusetts General Hospital / Harvard Medical School

Dr. Jonathan Slutzman is an Instructor in Emergency Medicine at Massachusetts General Hospital and Harvard Medical School. He holds a BSE, with honors, in Civil and Environmental Engineering from Princeton University, an Intern Engineer certificate from the State of New York, and an MD with distinction in disaster medicine from the Albert Einstein College of Medicine. Prior to a career in medicine, Dr. Slutzman was a consulting environmental engineer, completing projects in a variety of areas within environmental, health, and safety assessment. These included industrial facility audits, commercial and industrial site assessments, environmental life-cycle impact assessments, and disaster management exercises. He has completed published and presented work on medicine and nuclear war, suburban flood hydrology, healthcare cost modeling, and environmental life-cycle assessment of healthcare processes. His academic focus is on the costs, both financial and environmental, of healthcare.

Dr. Renee N. Salas, Emergency medicine physician - Massachusetts General Hospital and Instructor in Emergency Medicine - Harvard Medical School

Renee N. Salas, MD, MPH, MS is an Emergency Medicine Physician at Massachusetts General Hospital (MGH), an Instructor in Emergency Medicine at Harvard Medical School (HMS), and Affiliated Junior Faculty at the Harvard Global Health Institute (HGHI). She received a master of public health from the Harvard T.H. Chan School of Public Health with a concentration in environmental health and a master degree in clinical research from Case Western Reserve University School of Medicine. Dr. Salas's academic areas of focus are advancing research, education, and advocacy within climate change and health. She has lectured nationally on climate change and health while advancing educational and advocacy initiatives with a diverse set of collaborators.

Dr. Amy Collins, Senior Clinical Advisor - Health Care Without Harm

Amy Collins MD is a practicing emergency physician, health care sustainability consultant and Senior Clinical Advisor at Health Care Without Harm.
Dr. Collins is a practicing emergency medicine physician at MetroWest Medical Center in Massachusetts. At MetroWest, she founded the Go Green Committee in 2007 following a project to start recycling in the emergency department and chaired the committee from 2007-2013. Under her leadership, MetroWest Medical Center received numerous Environmental Excellence Awards from Practice Greenhealth, including the Environmental Leadership Circle Award in 2012 and 2013. At MetroWest Dr. Collins served on both the Wellness Advisory Board and Wellness Committee. From 2010-2013 Dr. Collins worked for Vanguard Health System as a consultant and implemented sustainability programs in Vanguard's hospitals nationwide. In 2014, Dr. Collins joined Health Care Without Harm as a Senior Clinical Advisor, currently leading a national physician network and engagement initiative.
Dr. Collins has spoken internationally about the link between the environment and health, the environmental impact of health care and the importance of the health care sector being a part of the solution, not the problem
She lives in Wellesley MA with her husband, son and beloved yellow labs. Her interests include fitness, travel, plant based diets, the outdoors and long walks in the woods with her dogs.
