Speaker: Rob Chase, Founder and President - NewGen Surgical
Over 25 years of experience in the medical device field with an extensive operating room and clinical experience with surgical procedures and equipment. Has a certificate in Sustainability from the Dominican University of California and a certificate in Green Supply Chain Management from the University of San Francisco. Founded NewGen Surgical in 2012 as a culmination of experience, education, understanding and insight, and the desire to help put the healthcare industry on a more sustainable path. Has the passion and ongoing pursuit to introduce new materials that decrease plastic waste yet meet performance criteria for medical devices and products for human and environmental health.

Luc Lenaerts, Senior Director of Sustainability - Philips
Luc is one of the driving forces of sustainable healthcare in Philips. He works with Philips businesses on programs such as Product EcoDesign, Green Services Development, and Sustainable Operations. Luc has a Masters in Public Administration and has been with Philips since 1996
Guus Wisse - UMC Utrecht
Guus Wisse (1983) studied MBRT (Medical Imaging and Radiotherapy) in Eindhoven (NL). After his Bachelor degree, he started working as a Medical Imaging Technologist at UMCU (University Medical Centre Utrecht). Guus worked on multiple departments within Radiology; Conventional X-rays, Angiography and MRI. He has worked for 5 years as a senior Technologist and 3 years as department head. His job as it is now is implementing 3 main strategies; Healthcare, Education, and Research with Radiology and MRI.
MRI is a high-end system to provide medical imaging, and very suitable for (clinical) research. UMC Utrecht's Imaging Division has 16 MRI magnets and 2 under construction. The most is for clinical use, but also a few who are transformed from research to (pre-)clinical use. (7 Tesla, MR-Linac, MR-HIFU)
