Getting to/from Radboudumc

The main conference activities will take place in the Radboud auditorium:

Via Public transport
Radboudumc is easily accessible from Nijmegen Central train station via bus:

  • 6 - Station Dukenburg
  • 9 - Grave Busstation
  • 10 Heyendaal shuttle
  • 83 - Gennep Busstation
  • 300 - Nijmegen Heyendaal

Please note: Nijmegen buses operate a cashless system - single tickets can be purchased on-board via contactless bankcard. Please alight at the bus stop Nijmegen, Radboudumc, and make your way towards the auditorium building.

Via car/taxi
Please use the address above when driving to Radboudumc. Please note there is limited parking at Radboudumc for participants, but public carparks are available in the city centre.

Walking/cycling
Radboudumc is 2.5km from Nijmegen Central station, approximately a 30-minute walk or 10-minute bike ride. Please enter the Radboudumc campus from the Westside via Philips van Leydenlaan. Should you wish to borrow a free Radboud bicycle during the conference please ask at the information point in auditorium building.

CleanMed Europe conference

Registration

Registration is mandatory and will be open from 08:00 on Wednesday 10 October and from 08:30-11:00 on Thursday and Friday in the auditorium building. Once registered you will receive your conference pack including programme, reusable notebook, and conference badge (please note that conference badges must be worn throughout the conference and are required to access the drinks reception and gala dinner).

Participants seeking accreditation are required to sign their attendance on all three days. All participants will be provided with a certificate of attendance. Should you have any questions during the conference, please ask at the information point in auditorium building.

Pre-conference events
Participants will meet at the Radboudumc auditorium for pre-conference events at the following times:

Tuesday 9 October

  • 08:00 - Sustainable and Healthy Food in Healthcare Workshop

Wednesday 10 October

  • 08:00 - Healthcare plastics workshop [HPRC]
  • 08:30 - European Green Capital Walking Tour
  • 08:30 - Anatomy Museum Tour, Radboudumc

Parallel sessions

Parallel sessions will take place in a variety of rooms on the Radboudumc campus and volunteers will be on-site to help guide you.

Market Lounge - Thursday 11 October

The market lounge presentations cannot be selected in advance, so be sure to review the presentations on offer, you can learn more about how the market lounge works here – this will also be further explained on the day.

Exhibitions

Exhibitions will open in the auditorium building during the first coffee break on Wednesday 10 October at 11:00 and will remain open during the entire conference.

Poster presentations

Poster presentations will also be displayed throughout the conference in the auditorium building from 13:00 on Wednesday 10 October. Presenters will be available to discuss their posters during the lunch breaks each day. 

Lunch and coffee breaks

A vegetarian lunch buffet will be served in the auditorium building each day, and refreshments will be provided in the morning and afternoon during coffee breaks.

Social events (and transport)

Drinks reception – 18:00-19:30, Wednesday 10 October

St Stevenskerk

After the final plenary session at 17:30 there will be a free one-way shuttle bus to take participants from Radboudumc to the drinks reception at St. Stevenskerk. Volunteers will also be available to guide participants to the venue via bicycle. Hosted by the Mayor’s office, the reception will be drinks-only with some light bites. Please note that the drinks reception is in the city centre and there will be no return shuttle bus. Please remember your conference badge.

Gala Dinner – 19:00-23:00, Thursday 11 October [prior registration required]

Fort Lent

The final plenary on Thursday finishes at 17:00, giving participants two hours until the gala dinner begins at 19:00.

From 18:30 there will be a free shuttle bus from Nijmegen Lent train station and the gala dinner venue, between 22:00-23:00 this service will also be available to return participants to Nijmegen Lent - which is walking distance from the Van der Valk hotel or a short connection to Nijmegen Central Station for participants who are staying in the city centre. Please remember your conference badge.
