Bruno Bruins

Minister for Medical Care, The Netherlands

The Dutch government supports sustainable economic growth by stimulating sustainable innovation. The Green Deal approach in The Netherlands is an accessible way for companies, other stakeholder organisations, local and regional government, and interest groups to work with Central Government on green growth and social issues. A Green Deal is a mutual agreement or covenant under private law which defines the actions and participants involved as clearly as possible. At CleanMed Europe, we will look back at the results of the Green Deal Healthcare 2018 which involved moving 80% of the Dutch hospitals and 50% of the care sector towards a more sustainable business model. We will also launch and sign the new Green Deal Healthcare 2.0.
